I’m sorry, Heather4Forever. I’ve had severe asthma my entire life and I know just how difficult it can be to go through your pre-teen and teenage years with our condition. It gets tough at times, I know, but understand that you aren’t alone. Remembering that there are tons of people around the world experiencing the same issues I am has always been an encouragement to me and I hope it is to you, as well.

I am 12 ys old and I have really bad asma I haven’t been able to smell since I was 6. The doctors say I have polups and can actually kill me if they get anybigger so I am on alot of prednizone and that is just to take for a few days.
it’s no fun….
I dont really talk about it, its just when I take my inhaler and my friends are like “omg!!!! Are you ok?!?!?!?!” Gets so annoying after a bit.
And I wanted to be a nurse in the army, but I guess ild have to be a nurse in a hospital… I cant do sports because I have problems with my legs so its too painful to do sports, but I can swim just have to put inhaler on the side with the life guard.
swimming is also VERY good cause you learn to control your breathing more or something, plus the workout is good for you cause you use up all the muscles in your body and getting fit helps with asthma, but its hard at the start if your asthma is bad just keep it up
ya me too… and i hate that fact and when i tell my friends how bad my asthma is they laugh at me and tell me its not that bad (its pretty commen here is it where you live?) but i men i can do sports and stuff it i take my mediecine like im sopossed too

to help prevent asthma whilst running, doing sport etc, make sure you use the preventers properly, always carry a blue inhaler(sometimes one puff before can help), and breath calmly. Also for me i went out on my bike everyday and it slowly got a bit better.

I suffer from Asthma, Chronic Lung Disease, and Acid Reflux and i’m allergy to animal hair (but i LOVE animal, so not fair) and many other things. It is so horrible, i have taken a few attacks in childhood. I just want to say that i really hope someone find a cure for Asthma, and maybe Chronic Lung Disease too. At least i can cope with my bad eyesight, but i’d give anything to get rid of my asthma, CLD and acid reflux. It is fun haing all three.
this thing almost cost me my life and i didnt even no it…….its sad that now i have to carry an inhaler everywhere i go now and that i have to live with it for maybe the rest of my life

I have accepted that im going to have asthma for the rest of my life and that all I can do is take my medication so it doesnt get as bad. And also change the job I want to do!!!!!!!

ummm… i dont know what type of asthma i have… i just got an attack one day when i was 3 my mom thinks it might be stress related cause i was so far away from my parents, plus i live in ireland and we’re very damp and dusty, plus i think i have some sort of hay fever and i permently have a cold…..
well the asthma medication that i take is pretty strong, stronger than what my dad or brother take, ive had quite a few attacks i found out the other day that when i lived in cork (i was 3/4) i had so many attacks they knew my name in A&E!! but i hate going to the hospital so now i sit them out unless it gets really bad…. ya i have a feeling that my asthma is never going to get better no matter how much medicine i take……

The doctor said it was chronic, but I thought childhood asthma disapeared in adulthood, as I used to have bad asthma, but haven’t had any asthmetic symptoms like for 8 years now
I feel you I cant either I think it’s all the shit from the crops and chemicals i dont even smoke but i breath like a 80 year old it’s hard and its scary I cant do shit
